MONTEREY, California (March 12, 2020) – The health and safety of our employees and customers is our top priority, and we are committed to taking all the necessary precautions to mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19. We will continue to actively monitor the latest information from local and state government health officials and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). We would like to share with you the extra precautions we are taking and the recommended guidelines from the CDC and Cal/OSHA.
We have limited all travel and convention attendance, and have postponed presentations and continuing education classes until further notice. We have provided alcohol-based hand sanitizers in common and high traffic areas of the office and stores, and distributed cleaning sprays and wipes to disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces. The CDC also recommends increasing the ventilation in your home or workplace, last year Hayward added fresh air ventilation in several stores and is working to install additional systems in all locations. Our employees have also been instructed to take precautionary steps to reduce the transmission of any virus in the workplace, as outlined in the CDC Keep Workplace Safe Guidelines.
