Hayward in Salinas is the original Hayward Lumberyard. Bill Hayward’s great-grandfather bought the Porter Lumber Company in Salinas on September 19, 1919 and changed the name to the Homer T. Hayward Lumber Co. Today, Hayward Salinas is a full-service lumber and building materials yard. It has a large selection of high quality lumber, building materials, windows, doors, mouldings, hardware, decking, and more. Hayward Salinas stocks products for the professional builder, general contractor, remodeler, handyman, architect, and do-it-yourself homeowner.

Hayward Salinas is also a production-oriented lumberyard supplying large projects throughout Monterey, Gilroy, Hollister, Santa Cruz, San Jose, and the entire San Francisco Bay area. Its large fleet of vehicles delivers large and small lumber packages, doors and windows, and engineered wood products, including Hayward’s proprietary Fast Floor.

Hayward Salinas includes a Door & Window Design Center. Hayward’s knowledgeable customer service representatives can assist with product selection and advise on custom and semi-custom options, technical specifications, energy-saving features, and tax incentives. It is also the home of the Kitchen and Bath Department, providing builders and homeowners with stock, semi-custom, and custom cabinetry.
