Hayward in Pacific Grove is a full-service lumber and building materials yard with a large selection of high-quality lumber, building materials, windows, doors, moldings, hardware, decking, and more for the professional builder, general contractor, remodeler, handyman, architect, and do-it-yourself homeowner.

Hayward acquired the Pacific Grove location in a trade with Granite Rock Construction. Homer Hayward won a card game with Granite Rock’s owner, and the winner got to choose between two sites, Pacific Grove and Seaside. Homer picked Pacific Grove, with its sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. From Pacific Grove, Hayward is able to quickly deliver to Pebble Beach, Carmel, Carmel Valley, and Big Sur. Its large fleet of vehicles also delivers throughout the Bay Area and the Central Coast.

Hayward Design Center in Pacific Grove is located across the street from Hayward’s full-service lumberyard and hardware store. The Design Center includes a window and door showroom that features brands including Marvin, Fleetwood, and Unilux. It is also the home of our Kitchen and Bath Department, providing builders and homeowners with stock, semi-custom, and custom cabinetry, from brands including Crystal and Medallion. Hayward’s knowledgeable customer service representatives are available to help with product selection and can also advise you on custom and semi-custom options, technical specifications, energy-saving features, and tax incentives.
