Allen Associates specializes in commercial and residential green construction in Santa Barbara, Santa Ynez, and Ventura. Founded as a small construction company in 1983, Allen Associates has a staff of over 80 employees.

Our company has been a customer of Hayward since they first came to town. Through the years, the relationship has expanded to the benefit of both of us. We have created a unique informal partnership in our goals to improve our environmental practices and that of the building industry. For example, we are now exploring trying a phase change drywall product from Germany – a product that will greatly expand the possibilities of passive solar design for new as well as existing structures.

In addition, Hayward has been a major sponsor of our local green building tours and sustainable building educational programs. Our management team meets at least once a year with Hayward staff to examine what is going well and what could be done better. Most important, the Hayward team is responsive to our suggestions. When you get quality products, good value, and great service year after year – one would have to be crazy to go anywhere else.
